Meet our Newest Teacher

Anne Glover

Anne first encountered Iyengar Yoga in the 1980''s and became a regular student in 2010. With a love of movement and a career in the performing arts, she sought a practice that would support the physical and emotional hiccoughs of life in a human body. This quest repeatedly brought her back to Iyengar practice, where she felt both nurtured and challenged. Over the years, Anne has worked with many teachers at the Iyengar Centre of Victoria and Calgary Iyengar Yoga, as well as visiting teachers such as Ramanand Patel, Jawahar Bhangera, Corrine Biria and Chris Saudek. Anne was mentored by Ty Chandler for her training and is a Level One Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher.

Teaching Style

Brandy’s teaching style focuses on sharing her knowledge with clarity and lightheartedness.

Moment Yoga follows the Iyengar methodology, teaching the asanas (postures) clearly and deliberately, to enable students to develop an intelligent way of working with their own body and mind. Brandy demonstrates poses, and takes time to observe and assist the students, deepening and correcting their postures. The focus is directed in developing the student's awareness and attention through correct alignment, effective timing and holding of postures, and effective sequencing to bring harmony to both the physical body and mental state. As students deepen their practice, pranayama (breathwork) techniques are also taught.
